SHIPPING

Processing Time & Preorders
All Studio Kōlea artworks and prints are made to order and prepared with care by hand in our O‘ahu studio.
Please allow 10–14 business days for processing before shipment.
As a small artist-run studio, printing and fulfillment times may vary slightly as we finalize our new in-house printing system.

If you preordered a print or postcard, you’ll receive a confirmation email when your piece enters production and a tracking number once shipped.
We appreciate your patience and support for slow, sustainable artmaking.

LOCAL DELIVERY & PICKUP (O‘ahu)

Available for original large-scale paintings.
We’ll contact you directly to arrange pickup or hand delivery within O‘ahu (Haleʻiwa–Honolulu region).
Each piece is wrapped, signed, and insured for safe transport.
Local delivery rate: $20 flat fee.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING (U.S. MAINLAND)

Prints and postcards ship via USPS Priority or UPS with tracking.
Estimated delivery: 2–3 weeks from order date.
Originals include insurance and signature confirmation.

Rates:

  • Prints — $30 + $5 per additional item

  • Originals — $60–$100 depending on size and weight

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We ship prints worldwide via USPS International or GlobalPost.
Estimated delivery: 3–5 weeks, depending on customs.
Flat rate: $45 + $8 per additional item.
Buyers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, or import taxes in their country.

PACKAGING & SUSTAINABILITY

We use archival, eco-friendly materials whenever possible.
Prints are shipped flat or rolled in recyclable tubes; originals are double-boxed and insured.
All orders include tracking and care instructions.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Because each piece is produced in limited quantities, all sales are final once shipped.
If your order arrives damaged, please email info@studiokolea.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and packaging.

We’ll assist you with:

  • Replacement of damaged prints (if stock allows)

  • Insurance claims for damaged or lost originals

  • Guidance for restoration or framing issues when possible

Returns are not accepted for color variation or change of preference. Each item is photographed and described accurately to honor its handmade nature.

LOST OR DELAYED PACKAGES

Every shipment includes tracking.
If your package is delayed or missing, contact us within 14 days so we can file a carrier claim.
While Studio Kōlea cannot control postal delays or customs processing, we’ll do everything possible to ensure your art finds its way home.

Taxes & Hawai‘i General Excise (GET)

Studio Kōlea LLC is registered in the State of Hawai‘i and collects a 4.712% General Excise Tax (GET) on all orders shipped within Hawai‘i.
Orders shipped to the U.S. mainland or internationally are not charged at checkout, but Hawai‘i GET is still paid by Studio Kōlea on all business income.
Shipping costs are also subject to GET under Hawai‘i law.
This small tax helps support local services and keeps us compliant as a Hawai‘i-based small business.
