The Lei & Lale — A Drawing Gathering is a cozy multicultural live drawing workshop happening next Sunday, Nov 23, from 10:30am to 1:30pm at Kraft Stories in Chinatown.
Join us for The Lei & Lale — A Drawing Gathering, a live model-in-mu‘umu‘u drawing workshop hosted by Studio Kōlea in collaboration with Kraft Stories in the heart of Chinatown, Honolulu.
This intimate 3-hour session celebrates the beauty of Hawai‘i’s mu‘umu‘u, the tulip (lale), and the art of creative connection. Guided by artist Ezgi Iraz (Studio Kōlea), participants will explore expressive line, form, and presence — inspired by live model poses and the quiet poetry of shared stillness.
🕊️ Workshop Schedule
Welcome + Turkish coffee / Hawaiian cookies — 15 min
Artist introduction & short talk — 10 min
Warm-up sketches (3 × 15-min poses)
Break — 15 min
Final long pose — 40 min
Sharing & reflection circle — 15 min
🌿 What to Bring
Bring any drawing tools you love using —
graphite pencils, pens, charcoal, colored pencils, markers, or a small watercolor set.
A sketchbook or drawing pad is recommended.
Optional: a small easel or drawing board.
We will provide chairs and basic drawing paper and pencils for anyone who needs materials.
